On the physical origin of fatigue phenomena    [PDF]

Fatigue phenomena have been investigated within the framework of a modified mean field theory. By doing so, some empirical fatigue and induced physical deterioration relationships have been directly derived via a modified Landau-Khalatnikov equation and a unified interpretation has been given to them. It then becomes clear that seemingly quite different fatigue phenomena are determined by an intrinsic physical phenomenon.
